We are TokuOra, and as we are becoming one of the largest data-plays globally, we are looking for a data engineer/scientist for our data generating project. We need to rebuild a new site using a modern stack with Go(lang) modules talking to several database instances and a common event bus (using apache Kafka), exposing potential microservice containers (within a modular monolith) to a React.js app (client side). We will be using AWS Cognito for authentication. Although most of our server infrastructure remains traditional Linux based, it will utilize AWS Lambda (serverless architecture) for a modular gateway to run on exposed AWS lambda deployed APIs. Our current and next site directly help the unemployed, veterans, parolees, students, and people in-between careers get matched by a proven psychometric short color test. We will feed that data into an ML engine for real time color correction etc. You will be exposed to big data, gathering, and analyzing large sets of structured and unstructured data. You will combine traditional computer science, statistics, and mathematics as well as analyze, process, and model data then interpret the results to create actionable plans for us and our clients and other organizations. Data scientists are analytical experts who utilize their skills in both technology and social science to find trends and manage data. You will use your industry knowledge, contextual understanding, and skepticism of existing assumptions – to uncover solutions to support our business. As our data scientist you will be expected to make sense of messy, unstructured data, from sources such as data from partners, social media feeds, and ML feeds derived from our users and more.
